Dr. Monica Melvin is a North Carolina native and an accomplished nurse midwife. Dr. Melvin, affectionately called, “Dr. Monica,” has built a distinguished career blending health education, clinical nursing, and leadership, including developing a multimillion-dollar postpartum program and earning top honors for her doctoral work.

 

She currently provides comprehensive women’s health care and leads her own coaching, consulting and empowerment firm: MonicaDrMidwife: Helping You Birth Life and Purpose.

 

When she is not working, Dr. Monica enjoys traveling, catching up with friends, going to the gym, and spoiling her nephew. She is also busy working on her first upcoming book.
